Your First Visit

We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. We will help you get aquainted with our office and learn about the different treatments which can be offered to create both healthy and beautiful teeth.

All new adult patients begin with a comprehensive examination by Dr. Petty. This separate appointment is preliminary to any preventative or cleaning visits, and the foundation for any treatment. We look for the following conditions:

• Tooth decay

• Gum disease

• Jaw joint disease

• Worn or broken teeth due to bruxing and clenching

• Esthetic concerns

• Oral cancer

• Abcessed teeth

• Cysts or tumors in jaw bone

• Missing teeth

It is during this initial examination that Dr. Petty will discuss with you any desires and expectations you may have from our practice, and will gather all information, such as radiographs and other diagnostics necessary to develop a comprehensive treatment plan unique to your needs.

We may schedule a consultation visit to discuss treatment options, time frames and financial arrangements. We insist that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. Also we will answer any additional questions.
